icedove-l10n-de software package provides German language package for Icedove, you can install in your Debian 8 (Jessie) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install icedove-l10n-de
icedove-l10n-de is installed in your system.
Make ensure the icedove-l10n-de package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep icedove-l10n-de *
You will get with icedove-l10n-de package name, version, architecture and description in a table
